an introduction to coaching
In the early days of introducing coaching to a company - or at the stage of rolling it out further across the company - an introductory workshop on coahcing skills can be a very sueful tool.
It is a cost effective way in which to introduce people to the key concepts and competencies of coaching in a positive environment. It can help to dispel many of the myths and fears about coaching that can get in the way of people's willingness to coach and be coached.
We usually find that our help is best utilised in the early days in the design of the programme and the delivery of the first couple of sessions. The ongoing delivery is then often best done by an internal candidate with whom we have worked/trained. This ensures the sustainability of the initiative as it keeps the costs to a mimimum.
Of course, sometimes it is a one-off workshop aimed at testing the water in a company or in informing business leaders about the process and benefits.
